Find your passion.

Don’t know what it is? Take time, seek it out. There’s a good chance you already know, you just haven’t accepted it yet. I’m sure you’ve heard the Confucius quote, Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.

I spent 40 years trying to figure out what I truly wanted to do with my life. I thought being an actress was it. It wasn’t. I had hints, whispers, “Hey, Look At Me” moments and I missed them. You may not see it immediately, but it’s probably been right there in front of you for a long time. The law of attraction will manifest itself in your life whether you want it to or not.

I struggled with writing full-time. I still do. Probably because it’s not traditional. But I’m not a traditional girl per se–hence the acting. Maybe your passion is not like everyone else’s. Or the financial rewards take some time. If you nurture the process, it will come. My mind is on writing constantly. Ideas, themes, thoughts, pictures, research. I jump out of the bed in the morning so I can create something. That’s how I know I made the right decision.

Find your passion.
