Who Could Forget These?

Hope you guys had a great weekend. I had another fabulous one. Hubby and I went to a Mardi Gras Ball. It’s carnival season, y’all! In all the years that we have lived in Louisiana, this was our first time going to one. Great soul/R & B band, Bananas Foster, and an open bar. Awesome!

Speaking of awesome iconic things…a common practice on Facebook is photo posts of items from the past. Last week a friend of mine posted this pic….

Aaaaagggghhhh! I had these Fashion Plates by Hasbro as a kid. I can still see myself playing with it like it was yesterday. I created designs for hours. This got me to thinking about other classic things from my childhood and teen years.

Add A Bead Necklace

My mother had one of these necklaces in gold. I had one with the black and white cubed letters that spell out your name or another word. I can’t remember what mine spelled out.

Twist A Bead Necklace

Did you have a pair of these? You could buy them in all kinds of different colors or twist your own individual ones together.

Coca-Cola Shirts

Oh, I know you had one of these! I had a blue short sleeved sweatshirt style. I also had a Coca-Cola necktie! No one else at my high school had that.

Which one of these classic items did you own?

Which other items would you add to this list from your childhood/teen years?
