Honey Lavender Sugar Scrub

There is so much going on right now as I get ready for the holidays. I sidestepped Black Friday and dove into Cyber Monday. It was good for me as a buyer and a seller! Now I want to share another one of my affordable DIY gifts that I made last Christmas…

Honey Lavender Sugar Scrub by Being A Wordsmith

I gave this easy-to-make scrub to two family members and a close friend last year. I had several of the items to make it at home already.

Honey Lavender Sugar Scrub by Being A Wordsmith

Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 cups raw sugar
  • 1-1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1 cup olive oil
  • 12 drops of lavender essential oil

Tools

  • mixing bowl or container
  • spoon
  • Mason jars or gift containers with a top
  • glue or tape
  • (scalloped) scissors
  • scrapbook or card stock paper
  • printer paper
  • printer
  • colored string/twine

Scrub Preparation

  • Place all ingredients in a mixing bowl/container
  • Mix with a spoon until combined
  • Scoop into jars for gift-giving

Yields 1 small, 1 medium, and 1 large Mason jar.

Labeling

I typed “Honey Lavender Sugar Scrub” on the computer and printed it out on regular printer paper. I cut around the words with scalloped scissors, and glued it to a piece of scrapbook paper. I punched a hole in the scrapbook paper, pulled a piece of colored twine through it, and secured the tag by tying it in a bow around the top of the Mason jars. I used tape on the back of the tag to keep it in place.

Ta-da! Affordable, personal DIY gift for friends and loved ones.
