If I Run by Terri Blackstock (A Book Review)

I spoke about my discovery of author Terri Blackstock’s books previously. I was pleasantly surprised by her Christian murder mystery novel, Breaker’s Reef, which is the fourth installment in her Cape Refuge series. What an awesome book filled with suspense! The New York Times bestselling author now has a new book series and the first installment is called If I Run. Her heroine, Casey Cox, is being accused of a murder in Louisiana and she is desperate to clear her name. Now, that’s right up my alley in more ways than one.

If I Run by Terri Blackstock

Readers find themselves right in the center of the madness that is Casey’s world from the first page. Her best friend has been murdered, her DNA is all over the place, and her only choice is to run away. Why you ask? Because although she knows what really happened, she has been duped by criminal circumstances before.

Dylan Roberts, a war veteran with PTSD hired to locate Casey is hot on her trail. But he struggles with her innocence as he gets closer to the truth. You will find yourself rooting for Casey as well as Dylan throughout the book. Blackstock gives great insight into both characters and keeps you engaged as they traipse all over the country. The search for faith, justice, and the truth will have you eager to read the next book in this series.

If I Run is a publication of Zondervan, a division of HarperCollins, and was released on February 16, 2016.

I received a complimentary advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
