My beloved state of Louisiana, Sportsman’s Paradise, is well-known for many faves. The 3 things that I love about it are:
1. The food (duh!)
Only in Louisiana, do we talk about other foods we ate or cooked while we are eating. Beignets, gumbo, turducken, andouille sausage, King Cake, crawfish, étouffée, jambalaya, Muffulettas, poboys, etc. Not to mention, the seasonings and spices that originated here to create those dishes. Don’t get me started on “making groceries”.
2. Warm weather most of the year
Most Christmases, we can wear shorts. Or the popular shorts-with-a-jacket ensemble. Don’t get me wrong, the weather can be waaayyyy too warm many times AKA hot as hell. And the humidity is often 100%+. And there was the Polar Vortex episode that we called SNEAUX. But most of the time, we are in short sleeves and open toed shoes.
3. There is no other place on Earth like it
We celebrate life and death with parades and second lines. We love to wear costumes for Halloween, Mardi Gras (school is out for two days to a week), and everything in between.
And yes, that is The Deuce with Flat Stanley standing in front of the swamp behind our subdivision. I can’t make this stuff up!
Name 3 things you love about the state you live in.

Arizona-1. Wonderful Winter weather! 2. Lots of time to swim because it stays hot for so long! 3. Phoenix is a huge town with a small town feel. You can find horse properties in the middle of the city. 4. (Bonus!) Beautiful deserts as well as gorgeous forests.
I have never been to Arizona. I hear Sedona is gorgeous and there are great spas out there.
I’m in Colorado
The 3 things I love are:
1. The Broncos!
2. The Views
3. The Mountains
We are so lucky to live in a sunny state and the amazing day trips that are within reach!
Louisiana sounds pretty awesome too!
Thanks
Michelle
I visited Colorado once. Went skiing in Breckenridge. It was a nice little town. Not crazy about the steep roads though.
Sounds like a lovely place to live. Nice things about my state…Minnesota. Beautiful change of seasons. #trafficjamweekend
I have never visited Minnesota. I heard that they opened up Paisley Park to the public. I would love to see that. #Prince
I would have to say the things you mentioned above about my state. I would add that we are close to beaches on one end and mountains on the other. We have a very diverse population and excellent cuisine especially here in Charleston. And festivals galore!
I’ve heard wonderful things about Charleston. Never been there.
