I did it! I finished the 3-day juicing plan as of last night along with Hubby. We juiced fruits and vegetables and drank water and herbal tea. Today and tomorrow Hubby and I are eating fruits and vegetables only. Salads, roasted beets, and such. Had my first cup of coffee in over a week this morning. Delish! (In my Rachael Ray voice) OK, my auto-correct tried to make that “Selfish!” Hmmmm.
- Did not have to cook dinner
- Hubby made great juices with the Bullet Express. Lemon or sweet fruit is key!
- I knew I was doing something healthy
- It was not as bad as I thought it would be
- Hubby and I did it together
- The Deuce “tried” to do it too
- Did I mention that I did not have to cook dinner?
- No boxed wine
- No caffeine
- I was somewhat sluggish
- I was a little cranky
- The second day was the hardest
- Deliriously watching Master Chef and Chopped
- Watching The Deuce eat solid food
- Did I mention no boxed wine and no caffeine?

The second day is the hardest! I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks so. During my cleanse I felt like everyone was eating around me, I almost felt like calling to cancel Food Network and Cooking Channel, lol. Way to stick in there!

Thanks Elizabeth. It's so much easier when someone else is doing it too. I'll definitely do it again.

Yes I'm a fan of master chef and I cook almost every day because of my kids.

I juiced for 2 weeks but ate while doing it – salads and fruit. My job demands nutrition. I could only do the all day juicing on weekends. Visiting from SITS.

I had to smile at your cons. I know; watching others eat while you aren't really sucks. But look at the bright side: You're healthier than you were before!

I tried really hard to look at that bright side! Temptation was fierce.

So let's see…I am pretty sure I cook ZERO times/week 🙂
I'm glad you completed it and it wasn't bad! You said this was a three day trial…what now?
Of course you are gonna call me out on it! I think we'll try the 3 day again or go for the next step which is 5 days. I'm going to start walking/running again on Monday. I'm just not a gym or workout kind of girl. That's the truth. I always see a difference in weight or inches with a change in my eating habits.

I would do it again, Kate. I think the biggest motivator was that my husband was doing it too. It would have been difficult if one of us was eating regularly and the other was juicing. And I can't work the frickin' juicer, so he was making them and serving them too. 🙂

So would you do it again? 🙂
