Thanks Is What I’m Giving
The holiday season is here y’all! I love, love, love this time of year. The week of Thanksgiving all the way through to New Years’ Day. Family, fun, lots of food and libations, anticipation, and new beginnings. The cold front (40s and 50s) came through this past week here in the New Orleans area and hasn’t left yet. Brrrr! But it makes the holidays authentic to me.
The Deuce is out all week from school. That’s how it’s done here in Louisiana. I’m trying to find lots of things for him to do while I tweak my blog this week. Don’t be surprised BAW readers if you see my layout change two three four times over the next couple of days. Get it right, get it tight! (In my Bubba Sparxxx voice)
I found this DIY placemat on Pinterest and made it my own! Gratitude is my attitude.
What are you thankful for this year?
How will you be spending Thanksgiving?
What is the temperature in your area this week?
Our kids are out for the entire week as well. I see you playing around hun! I was like, hum this is different. Happy Thanksgiving to you! I too love this time of year!
I am being way too indecisive. Lol. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
It tickles me every time I come here and you’ve made a change – that is so me. Looking good, I like the way the blog is separated now from the sidebar stuff. Love that placemat. First things for me is always my family and our health. We’re all good.
Ha! After all the changes I have made, I went back to the theme that I chose when I first moved to WordPress. I’ll be explaining why in my next post.
I am thankful for my family. But we’re going to be missing my in laws this year — we always spend Thanksgiving with them and they are traveling this year.
I know what it’s like to be away from family during the holidays. I experienced that a lot when we lived in Michigan.
We will be spending the weekend sightseeing in Los Angeles and having Thanksgiving dinner with my brother and sister-in-law. They throw a big, themed party every year for family and friends. About thirty of us will be enjoying a “Country Chic” Thanksgiving. Enjoy your holiday!
That sounds like fun! My husband and I had 40 people over for Thanksgiving two years ago. It was a lot of work, but we had a great time. Have fun in LA, Mo. Happy Thanksgiving!
My younger brother and his family will get here late tomorrow night and I can’t wait!!! (They are my favorite family members!)
Cold here for sure.
Have a great week!
Blog changes look good!
Thanks, Kim! Have a Happy Thanksgiving with your family.
