Christmas Tag(ged) Twice
It’s Christmas week, y’all!
I came up with some awesome, affordable DIY gifts this holiday. I’ll be posting them later this week.
My post today is two-fold. First, I participated in Joi at Rx Fitness Lady’s Holly Bloggy Christmas Party.

Kudos to Joi for encouraging bloggers to sign up to do a gift exchange. It put me in the Christmas spirit right away. Because today is Christmas Eve Eve, the designated reveal day, I opened the gift I received from Kalley at Blogging While Nursing.
They are Crystal Book Ends…
They are not your typical crystal book ends. They are made of Agate (ah-git). It is the stone of stabilization. Check out the key characteristics above. Rebalancing, harmonizing, soothing, calming. YES! Thank you, Kalley. They are exquisite! Great accessory for my books and a reminder of stability.
Second, I was tagged by my blog buddy, Natasha at Epic Mommy Adventures, for the Annual Christmas Tag, which was created by Lanaya at Raising Reagan. Hope you enjoy my answers. Merry Christmas! Be safe.
Questions:
1. What do you love the most about Christmas time? As a kid, it was receiving presents without a doubt. Now as a parent, I love giving presents and seeing it all through my son’s eyes.
2. Do you celebrate the holiday in style or is Bah-Humbug for you? I celebrate in style.
3. Are you leaving anything out for Santa Claus this year so he remembers to leave your presents? Oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and milk. After The Deuce falls asleep, I’ll take a cookie, pour milk back in the jug, and pour some boxed wine in my large red wine glass.
4. What is the one gift you are most looking forward to GIVING? {It can be to your kids, another family member, etc – remember to be discreet if they read your blog!} The board game, LIFE, to The Deuce. I don’t know if he has actually even laid eyes on a non-electronic game before. I want him to have that experience.
5. What is your all-time favorite Christmas movie? A Christmas Story
6. What is your all-time favorite Christmas song? Let It Snow by Boyz II Men
7. If given the opportunity would you participate in an “Ugly Sweater” party and what sweater would you wear? Peruse one on the internet or even in your own closet and show us! I have wanted to go to one of those for a while now. And I know someone’s closet I could raid to get three, two, one. But I know they would be offended if I did.
8. Have you started any Christmas traditions this year that you plan on carrying forward? No. I envy those who have Christmas traditions. I would love to start some.
9. It’s Christmas morning … what does it look like outside where you live? Sunny and clear. In Louisiana, it is not uncommon to wear shorts on Christmas Day–with a jacket!
10. You just found yourself standing under the mistletoe … who comes up to give you a kiss first? The Deuce and then he’ll wipe his mouth with the back of his hand!

What an awesome gift! My father is a geologist and he has some cool geode bookends. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas! So glad to have met you this year!
It has been a pleasure connecting with you too, Michelle. Christmas was wonderful. I love how unique my bookends are.
Well you know baby sis and I celebrate Christmas eve’s eve, but the funny thing is, we don’t do anything special. We just walk around talking about “It’s Christmas Eve’s Eve”..face palm…we are lame. I really appreciate you all helping me actually do something. It was fun!
Kalley got you an amazing gift considering your year debuting as an author! Super cool! Love this Christmas survey too. I hope Deuce has an amazing day tomorrow! Merry Christmas Kim!
Deuce really racked up this Christmas. And he was such a good boy about not getting things that he WANTED, but did not need. He did check me and ask if I mailed his letter to Santa though. I have to make sure that boy knows how fortunate he is.
Kalley did that thing! Those are absolutely gorgeous bookends, Kimberly! I’m not cooking. But I will definitely be eating! LOL
I did more cooking in preparation for this Christmas than I ever have. And the eating was oh so good. Thanks, Alison.
Wow. Those are beautiful bookends…exquisite indeed. LOL at exchanging the milk for wine. I don’t think I’ve seen an uglier sweater. Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas, Hope! Milk is perfect for my coffee, but that’s it. LOL
I love your book-ends – what a great gift!!!
And – I’m with you, cookies and wine is so much better than cookies and milk!!
Santa deserves only the best!
