There’s nothing like already having all the ingredients needed for an impromptu meal without having to go to the store for one single, solitary thing.
BAM! I whipped this rigged recipe up in no time. I got a little heavy handed with the cheese, so for the sake of sharing a HEALTHY recipe, I will include a modest amount in the ingredient list.
1 lb. bag of Daily Chef Garden Rotini Pasta
4.5 oz. jar of mushrooms, drained
1.5 lbs. ground turkey
1 small onion, chopped
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
45 oz. jar Ragu Traditional spaghetti sauce
- Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook rotini pasta in boiling water for 8 to 10 minutes, or until al dente. Drain well.
- Meanwhile, cook ground turkey and chopped onions in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Then drain.
- In a large bowl, mix together the mushrooms, spaghetti sauce, shredded mozzarella cheese, cooked pasta, and browned ground turkey and onion mixture. Transfer to a greased, 9×13 inch casserole dish.
- Bake at 325 degrees for approximately 40 minutes.
