The month of April has been an eye-opening one filled with Ha(ppier), (He)althier, (Wi)ser moments. Goal setting and reflections have been prevalent. When I started this blog, I talked a lot about my biggest weakness–procrastination. And although I haven’t completely conquered it, I have gotten better.

What I know for sure (in my Oprah voice) this month
Every week since the beginning of the new year, I have drafted 2-3 post ideas to write. Along with blogging tasks to accomplish. Each month I have created blogging goals, reviewed the previous month’s goals, and compiled stats. That has been huge for my productivity. I feel more at ease going into each week.
My monthly features such as 5 Questions With…, Traffic Jam Weekend Linky Party, Rewind: Repost, and Top HaHeWi have enhanced my posting content and given Being A Wordsmith more structure. Exhibiting consistency while still providing creativity is important to me and I believe to my readers as well.
I enjoyed connecting with new bloggers via 5 Minutes for Mom‘s 8th Annual Ultimate Blog Party. It was my second year participating and like before, the prize packages offered were awesome. I sponsored one and even won one myself.
I became an influencer for a few sponsored programs: Izea, BookLook Bloggers, BzzAgent, and Swagbucks.
I enjoyed sharing the following posts this month:
What I am looking forward to in May
- The Deuce is turning 7!
- Mother’s Day
- School is ending and I can sleep in (a little bit)
- Adding more chore sticks to The Deuce’s chore bucket to keep him busy this Summer
- Hosting a new social media linky party for my BAW readers
- Tyler Perry’s The Haves and the Have Nots returns to OWN TV on May 27th
