Interview with The Deuce: Best Things About Being a Kid
Last August I interviewed The Deuce about one of his favorite superheroes, The Hulk. Although he is still a Hulk fan and loves all things Marvel related, my 7-year-old has his eyes set on some new things now.
Being A Wordsmith: What is the best thing about being a kid?
The Deuce: Riding bikes, skateboards, doing cool tricks. And going to school, playing on the playground at school.
Being A Wordsmith: Who is your favorite superhero?
The Deuce: Ironman
Being A Wordsmith: Is there anyone who can beat Ironman?
The Deuce: The Hulk. Because he can pick him up and smash him and throw him into buildings.
Being A Wordsmith: What is the best thing about being 7?
The Deuce: Having stuff you never had before, being big enough to go on a rollercoaster. (Editor’s note: He hasn’t been on a rollercoaster.)
Being A Wordsmith: What is the best thing about being a boy?
The Deuce: Doing Karate.
Being A Wordsmith: What is your favorite iPod Touch game?
The Deuce: Soccer, Ragdoll, and Skateboarding.
Being A Wordsmith: What is your favorite Android Tablet game?
The Deuce: Flatout Stuntman.
Being A Wordsmith: What do you love about me?
The Deuce: You watch movies with me. You play Michael Jackson Wii Dance with me.
Being A Wordsmith: What do you love about Daddy?
The Deuce: He brings me McDonald’s, hugs and kisses, and teaching me how to ride my bike.
What were your favorite things about being a kid?
Did you play video games? Still do?

The mind of a boy.. Love it!!! I loved have not so many worries as a kid.
I remember being a kid and hearing adults say they wish they could have naptime again. I didn’t get it then, but I totally get it now! LOL Thanks Aimee.
What a fun interview with your son!!
So, I want to know if there are any girls in his karate class???
I play app games on my phone – does that count as a video game?
What’s funny is he doesn’t take Karate classes! So his answer surprised me. LOL That pic is of him slaughtering a kickboxing inflatable that he got for Christmas. Yes, app games count as video games! Thanks Kim.
How sweet! I have a grandson his age and his answers remind me of things my grand would say. Love it!!!
Ohhh, these 21st century children! Keeps me laughing. Thanks Alli!
Love the things kids say! We should all do this every year. It would be fun to look back on!
Yes, because they grow and change so much!
