Living Large in Our Little House: Thriving in 480 Square Feet… by Kerri Fivecoat-Campbell (A Book Review)
Could you live in a home with less than 500 square feet? Along with six pets and a spouse?
A fellow blogger, Kerri Fivecoat-Campbell of Living Large in Our Little House, found such great joy in tiny house living that she wrote a book about it. Living Large In Our Little House: Thriving in 480 Square Feet with Six Dogs, a Husband, and One Remote — Plus More Stories of How You Can Too gives readers a firsthand account of the tiny house lifestyle. This beautiful book with colorful photographs is an inspirational memoir about changing your way of existing with smaller square footage. Such an interesting read even if you couldn’t imagine doing it!
Kerri Fivecoat-Campbell is a journalist and author who has written a column on small space living for Parade.com. She’s also written on small space living for Mother Earth News and Realtor.com and has been interviewed extensively on her tiny house expertise. Her work has also appeared in Audubon Magazine, Entrepreneur Magazine, Yahoo! News, MSN.com and NBC Digital’s pet channel. Kerri lives an intentional life with an eye toward sustainability in a 480-square-foot cabin in the Ozark Mountains with her husband and five “recycled” (rescue) mutts, which she documents on her blog, Living Large in Our Little House.

I find tiny houses fascinating, but from afar…I may don’t see my family being able to live in one. Maybe a vacation? I’ll have to check out the book though as it sounds like a great read!

They are fascinating, Kellie. But you definitely have to be committed to the lifestyle for it to be successful.
No thank you!
1000 sq feet is the smallest I’ve been in with 2 kids, 1 dog, a spouse and 2 remotes and I’m so glad those days are over!
I’m with you on that one. A space for me to work and relax and another space for my spouse to work and relax is what keeps our marriage together. LOL
Wow! That is a tiny house. I don’t think I could ever do that. Good for her. #trafficjamweekend
It seems very freeing in some respects to live that way. But I don’t think I could do it either!
