TRAFFIC JAM WEEKEND LINKY PARTY #177
Hey y’all! So much has happened since the last TJW Party that I don’t even know where to begin. My use of the new beta version of InLinkz was not very popular with some of my long-time participants. I understand completely! I was not a fan of it either. Therefore, I have gone back to using the old InLinkz version until it is no longer available. Thank you for your honest feedback.
As you know from my IG posts here last week, the Polar Vortex was in full effect in the Kansas City area. Well, by the end of the week, we were opening doors and getting a nice breeze from temps in the 50s. But PV came back strong this week with freezing rain and snow. The Deuce was already scheduled to be out of school today and tomorrow due to parent-teacher conferences. Guess what got cancelled? So, he would have been out anyway. I think we’re now up to either five or six snow/cold days this school year. And those conferences will surely be rescheduled, hence two more days out of school. They’re also out for Presidents’ Day later this month! Must be a regional thing because I have never experienced that before even when I was in school.
On Monday morning, I woke up to the very sad news that 52 year old actor Kristoff St. John (Neil Winters, Y&R, The Cosby Show, The Bad News Bears, Generations, Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper) had passed away. If you’ve read my blog for an extended amount of time, you know that I have been a faithful Young & the Restless fan for almost 40 years. St. John was a prominent cast member for almost 30 years which garnered two Emmy wins out of nine nominations. I sat numb at my computer the whole day. St. John had been struggling with his 24 year old son’s suicide for the last four years. His personal battle has been very public due to litigation, advocacy for mental health assistance, and his own health issues. I commiserated with my fellow fans online in a Y&R Facebook group that I belong to. We all shared sentiments and clips of movies and television shows that he had appeared in since the age of 8. I finally channeled my grief into a post, Why I and Other Fans Mourn the Loss of Celebrities. Rest on, Kristoff. You will be missed.

Kimberly, thanks so much for bringing back the old inlinkz for as long as you can! So sorry for your loss–it’s very sad when someone who is a part of our lives on any level dies. Wishing you a less wild winter!
So excited to see my Peach Crumb Slab Pie is being featured this week. Thanks for hosting another wonderful party..
Thank you so much for hosting! I appreciate you so much. I am so glad you went back to the old linky version.
I thought it was just me I could not figure out how to join the party. I have my browser set to allow cookies but the prompt says it’s blocked.
I am not smart enough to fix it. xo Lisa S
I was truly saddened to hear of Christoff’s passing as well. Many prayers for his family.
I’m not happy with the new version of InLinkz and will use the old version on my parties until they improve the new version a bit. I’ve talked with them about it and hopefully it will be better when they tweak it a bit. Thanks so much for hosting! I’m linking up with the TOP 10 POSTS OF 2018 AT GRAMMY’S GRID! Also, adding our WEDNESDAY AIM LINK PARTY, won’t you join us?
Such a sad celebrity tale and brokeness. Praying for his family. laurensparks.net
