TRAFFIC JAM WEEKEND LINKY PARTY #180
Hey, y’all! Just when I thought the snow/cold days for this school year were over… The Deuce woke me up from a good slumber at 6:30 am Wednesday morning to tell me that school was closed. Half asleep and vaguely recalling no snow in the forecast, I thought he was pulling my leg. Sure enough when I grabbed my cell phone, there was a text and an email from the school that it was closed. Apparently, there had been some icy conditions in the KC area on the Missouri side which prompted school closures metro-wide. Did I roll over and go back to sleep? No! I got up and proceeded to brown some chicken thighs, chop vegetables and seasonings, and drop it all in the crockpot for dinner. Why can’t we sleep in when we have an excuse to do so?
