Hey, y’all! The Deuce started practice for an intramural basketball league this week. Their first game is Saturday. He’s so excited. He hasn’t been on a basketball team in 2 years! The weather was yuck again here this week. Snow, sleet, freezing rain, low temps. The Deuce was out of school for a snow day last Friday which led into their Monday off for MLK Jr. Day. However, the Kansas City Chiefs are going to the SuperBowl! Woohoo!!
Another bright spot this past week was getting King Cakes delivered from Louisiana. Hubby purchased a few for his work vendors and we kept one for ourselves. Possibly two if one of our neighbors doesn’t show up to claim it. Yum! Since KC doesn’t celebrate Mardi Gras, that is the closest we are going to get to it this year.
