I took a short hiatus from the party last week. Thanks for returning this week to connect with me and my co-hosts. I have taken my TV viewing to an even higher level (if that’s possible!) during the quarantine. I have begun exploring many of the streaming apps on my Amazon Fire TV stick such as PlutoTV, Tubi, Crackle, IMDb TV, and more. If you have one, do some exploring too. Due to the high volume of quaranstreaming, several networks like HBO and Showtime are offering some of their services and original programming for free (limited time only). This allowed me to finally watch the second season of HBO‘s Big Little Lies that I couldn’t access on demand previously (unless I paid for it).
The Pharmacist – stunning documentary series about a pharmacist father in Chalmette, LA who tirelessly seeks the killer of his son in New Orleans and then attempts to bring down a local physician who is running a pill mill
The Innocent Man – re-enactment series of two true crime stories that occurred in Ada, Oklahoma that is narrated by author John Grisham, witnesses, attorneys, law enforcement, and family members
Amazon Prime recommendations…
Late Night – hilarious comedy starring Emma Thompson (Sense and Sensibility) as a long-time talk show host fighting to keep her spot on late-night TV and Mindy Kaling (The Office) as a put-upon member of her writing staff
What Men Want – Taraji P. Henson (Empire) triumphantly leads this remake of the 2000 comedy What Women Want as a fiery sports agent who obtains the ability to hear men’s thoughts
