TRAFFIC JAM WEEKEND LINKY PARTY #243 and GIVEAWAY
Hey, y’all! It is 93° in KC! Feels like I am back at home in Louisiana. Hope you all are doing well and staying safe. I told you last week about our Governor’s executive order to push re-opening of K-12 schools back to after Labor Day. Well, the Kansas Board of Education stepped in and overruled it and is now leaving it up to each county. So Teen Deuce and I will be staying tuned to see what’s next. I have been introduced to an online graphic site called DesignCap and am hosting a GIVEAWAY for a paid upgrade subscription for 3 recipients! Check out my post, Elevate Your Posts with DesignCap to enter. Additionally, Traffic Jam Weekend will not be live on July 30th. We will see you again on Thursday, August 6th. Take care!

These are the featured posts from Traffic Jam Weekend #242…
Evelyn chose Red Cabbage Colourful Summer Quiche from Keeping It Real.
Michelle chose How to Make a Cinder Block Bench from Chas’ Crazy Creations. “I like this bench because not only is it sturdy and attractive, creating it is simple enough that a person new to DIY could do it.”
Laurie chose How to beat a Corona check… from our very own View From the Beach Chair. “This is a hot button topic and so many parents are struggling with the decision of what they feel comfortable with. I had not considered the possibility of someone medicating and masking their kids’ symptoms before sending them to school. This puts all the other children and staff at risk. This post really hit home this week with all the current discussions of the safety of our kids and teachers in the coming few months.”
Tracy chose Yes Do Tell Your Daughter She is Beautiful from Anointed Today. “This is a must for anyone with a daughter.”
Kimberly chose Finding Love Behind the COVID-19 Mask from Yvonne Chase. “What a fascinating topic! Yvonne gives some great advice on dating during a pandemic.”
The post with the most views was You Know What They Say About Making Assumptions… from LaurenSparks.net.

The Bay Area has been just mild lately. LOL.
Interesting decision by the state there. The district I teach in San Francisco has already said that it will distance learning only for the time being.
It’s been hot here too; supposed to get up to 97/98 this week.
That quiche sure looks tasty! Thanks for hosting! I brought by some Cajun Shrimp Guacamole. Hope you enjoy. 🙂
Welcome to my hot world down here in Texas!
Thank you for hosting! This is what I featured the week of 7-13 to 7-17 on my blog. On Tuesday was an Easy Graham Cracker Crust. Wednesday saw Candied Citrus Fruit. Thursday was a Citrus Cheesecake. And winding up this Citrus Week was my post, Tip Friday Cutting In aka Creaming. Enjoy!
Now that is hot and toasty!!! Just had to convert into Celsius… and am slightly jealous! It has been raining here today and is around the low 60 degrees F… you wouldn’t believe this is Summer in the UK right now! 🙁
Our summer holidays have just started, so no school for anyone now until at least September. Hope you guys aren’t waiting too long to hear what happens! I’m off to check out your giveaway!
Thank you all for hosting and hope you all have a fantastic weekend and break! Sim x
